Welcome to the Dunderry Country Fair Website 2017!

Robert Mizzell brought the sunshine on stage with him at this years Dunderry Fair on May 14th last. The 'John Deere Beer' singer was the main attraction at a jam-packed jamboree and Matt Leavy and Nigel Connell were also amongst the big name entertainers delighting the crowd at the 13th annual fair.

This years marks 100 years of Ford so we invited all those with vintage Ford machinery cars and implements to show them off at the fair. Other attractions included a repeat of our very successful scarecrow competition where last years winner went on to be third in the national final! We also hosted a pet show, kiddies corner, with face painting, live puppet shows, drummers and drumming classes. In the main field had a massive fun fair. And all the way from Russia, the exciting live acrobatic Cosack horse show, where Sergei performed various tricks, on and almost under the horse at full gallop. The day was action packed to say the least. And we're already planning next years Fair Day so keep in touch here or on Facebook.

If you are a new visitor to our site and wondering what Dunderry Fair is all about read below to gain an insight into what goes on at the Fair and enjoy photos from previous Fair Days and other outings on our Gallery page here.

On the street trades and skills of times gone by are demonstrated by those for whom it was once a daily chore. Basket making, butter making and hand spinning are on display. Also we have farm animals on show. Cows, horses, donkeys, sheep, pigs and even turkeys have appeared at Dunderry Fair previously and some are for sale. So be prepared for some traditional haggling if you fancy bringing home a new addition!

And it is not just farm animals you could be bringing home. Every year our matchmaker performs his magic and brings together couples who are looking for some romance. There is no better place in Ireland to find your true love than Dunderry Fair.

Center piece to Dunderry Fair is the main stage. Music is played here all day long with a platform provided so be sure to bring your dancing shoes! In the field adjacent to the main street you will find the trade stands and carnival rides. So whether you are young or old and looking for a bit of craic you will be sure to find it at Dunderry Fair
